Undergraduate Research in Mathematical Sciences

Undergraduate Research Group Experiences (URGE) is a collaboration of the UB and Buffalo State Mathematics Departments, the UB Physics Department, the UB Center for Computational Research, and the Hauptman Woodward Medical Research Institute, and is funded by the National Science Foundation's CSUMS program. Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Mathematical Physics majors, and have at least one remaining full year of undergraduate study.

Students accepted to the program will conduct a year-long program of research, closely mentored by faculty, and engage in many activities that support the research and their intellectual and personal development. More information and application instructions are available at the URGE to Compute web site.
